Rivencliff is gay furry romance visual novel set in a fantasy world where player fantasies and choices matter!
The story is about Buru, a compassionate bull with healing powers, who has found his place in the peaceful village nestled within a lush valley. The village, a melting pot of cultures and customs, is where he honed his abilities and forged his deep connections with the community. However, the end of his relationship with Taro, his first boyfriend, has left Buru heartbroken and questioning the true nature of love.
Determined to find answers, Buru immerses himself in diverse cultures he finds in Rivencliff, learning about their unique perspectives on love, relationships, and commitment. As he explores the village, Buru encounters a variety of captivating characters, including wise elders, passionate artists, and kind-hearted strangers. During this time, he also gains insight into the gay hookup culture, a lifestyle that focuses on easy, anonymous, and convenient encounters.
This demo has the purpose to demonstrate the core gameplay of Rivencliff as well as gathering feedback about the project. If you would like to provide feedback or comment, please do so below in the comments section!

- Reduced build size by 50% by encoding videos to VP8 webm instead of x264 mp4 and increased quality of videos.
- Added ability to make dialogue decisions using number keys or numpad.
- Implemented proper font size scaling for all UI. Font size can be changed in the settings.
- Implemented colored text for each character speaking so it is easier to follow the conversation.

Install instructions
- Download Rivencliff-Tech-Demo-Windows-x64.zip.
- Extract the contents of the .zip file to a location of your liking.
- Double-click "Rivencliff.exe" to start the game.

I really love the art style that you’re going for here, it’s what instantly attracted me to try this. The writing for this small demo is pretty goofy haha, its not terrible but could use some work of course. The game felt nice to run on my laptop, and everything seemed to go smoothly. Excited to see what this could amount to in the future! ^^
I'm a bit confused. I know this is just a tech demo, so it's very early stages, but it seems like there's only one available option for each choice? That... doesn't really demonstrate much, even, so I'm not sure if it's bugged or I'm missing something?
Hey there! Only option being available is intended, yes. It is supposed to show that in future versions choices will be available.
